✨ When the Light Stayed
Hello Beautiful Souls,
Last week, I wrote about the morning light that found Amara. How even in the cracks, the sun still knew where to shine. But what I didn’t say is that learning to let the light stay has been the real work. It’s easy to have moments of remembering. It’s harder to live as if you are always remembered.
If you hadn’t read part 1, “When the Light, Came Through the Cracks,” I invite you to go and read that one first.
Let’s get into it. 🤎
✨When the Light Stayed
After that morning, Amara started noticing the light more.
How it showed up in quiet corners. In the steam of her tea, in the laughter of children walking home from school, in the stillness of late afternoons.
But the truth is, the light doesn’t always feel gentle. There are days though when the light makes Amara uncomfortable.
Some days, it exposed what she’d rather not see…the tightness in her throat, unable to express herself, swallowing her emotions, the old fears that still whispered, “I’m not enough,” or “I’m not worthy.”
The Light asks her to stay open when she’d rather close.
…to soften when she wants to retreat.
…to be honest about the places that still ache.
Amara started thinking to her self and what her grandmother must have meant when she said,
“The light don’t just find you, baby, it grows you.”
And maybe that’s the deeper remembering…that healing isn’t only about finding peace, it’s about learning to stay open to the light even when it asks something of you.
Because when we let it stay, the light doesn’t just show us who we are, it helps us become.
🌾 Soul Reflection Prompts
• Where in your life are you being invited to stay open, even when it’s uncomfortable?
• How does the light show up for you. Not just to comfort, but to grow you?
• What would change if you trusted that the light knows exactly what it’s doing?
Closing Medicine:
The light isn’t just here to find you. It’s here to keep you.
…to grow you.
…to remind you that even in your tender becoming, you are whole.
🤎 With love,
Schan
